Helping Out The Little Guy

Many teachers are fortunate to work in districts where their desktops are loaded with all sorts of fantastic online services for grading and management. However, some districts are a bit behind the curve in this area, and their teachers need help. Once again, Web 2.0 to the rescue. The following sites provide fantastic management solutions to teachers... for free!

Engrade
Engrade is a free online gradebook that allows teachers to manage their classes online as well as post grades, assignments, attendance, and upcoming homework online for students and parents to see. Engrade is free and easy to use.

30 Boxes
30 Boxes is almost certainly the easiest way to share your calendar and your web stuff online. Organize your life, share all or parts of it.

Backpack
Backpack is a simple web-based service that allows you to make pages with to-do lists, notes, files, and images. Backpack also features a Calendar and Reminders that can be sent via email or to your cell phone at predefined times. Tagging pages makes it easy to group related pages together.
